The artist

Amanda Tuohy is an Australian wildlife artist and author, and the owner and curator of Sanctuary Gallery in Hahndorf. Through her paintings she captures the beauty of Australia's birds and animals, from the fine detail of a feather to the flowers around them. Her hope is that her art opens people's eyes and hearts to the wonder all around us.

Amanda paints Australian wildlife and birds in gouache. Prints of her work are produced in-house, on an Epson SureColor P906 with pigment inks.

Amanda Tuohy smiles as she paints at a drafting board beside a large window, with bare tree branches outside.
